PEC H2S Clear (4-hour End User)
PEC Safety has developed a 4-hour standalone H2S course titled “PEC H2S Clear (4-hour End User).” PEC H2S Clear will improve employee safety performance for general industry workers who may come in contact with hydrogen sulfide during their regular day to day job duties. While not only improving safety performance, this course also prepares general industry workers by providing crucial knowledge of the dangers of H2S and the precautions, tools and controls necessary when working in H2S environments. This course has no prerequisite and covers the current classroom requirements of ANSI Z390.1 and is designed to meet the new ANSI requirements coming in 2016.PEC H2S Clear can also be used to enhance our other training courses such as PEC Basic Orientation, PEC Basic/10, or PEC Core Compliance.
At a minimum, it is recommended to complete PEC Basic Orientation prior to taking H2S Clear to meet general industry safety orientation requirements.
H2S HYDROGEN SULFIDE 1 HOUR ONLINE TRAINING ANNUAL - - CLICK TO START Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) is a deadly substance that results naturally from decaying organic matter. It is one of the leading causes of workplace death due to gas inhalation. Even brief exposure to relatively small amounts can cause acute symptoms and even death. This course explains the health and physical hazards of H2S, identifies where exposure is possible, and lists steps to limit exposure. It also outlines what to do in case of accidental release or exposure. Learning Outcomes After taking this course, you will be able to:
- Demonstrate understanding of what Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) is, where it is found, and how it is produced
- Recognize the physical and health hazards of H2S by recalling the health risks of H2S and identifying where exposure is possible
- Recognize the steps to limit exposure and what to do in case of accidental release or exposure.
Regulations
- 29 CFR 1910.1000, Table Z-2 (General Industry)
- 29 CFR 1926.55 Appendix A (Construction Safety and Health)
- NIOSH exposure recommendations Oct. 2013

PEC H2S END USER 4 HOUR PEC PREMIER SAFELAND H2S HYDROGEN SULFIDE TRAINING PEC Safety has developed a 4-hour standalone H2S course in conjunction with Eric Rosemann, CSP-Board Certified Safety Professional, titled “PEC H2S End User.” This course can be used to enhance PEC Basic Orientation, PEC Basic/10, or PEC Core Compliance. These PEC courses have shown employee safety performance improvements throughout the oil and gas industry. PEC H2S End User can do just that for industry workers who may come in contact with hydrogen sulfide during their regular day to day job duties. The PEC H2S End User (4-hour) course prepares general industry workers by providing crucial knowledge of the dangers of H2S and the precautions, tools and controls necessary when working in H2S environments. This course covers the classroom requirements of ANSI Z390.1.PEC H2S End User is available as a standalone course via Instructor or can be taken as a predecessor to PEC Basic Orientation, PEC Basic/10, or PEC Core Compliance course. There are no prerequisites for this course, however, it is recommended students complete PEC Basic Orientation, PEC Basic/10, or PEC Core Compliance to meet general industry safety awareness and orientation requirements.Ensure your employees are trained on standardized H2S topics required by operators and regulatory agencies in the most complete and cost effective program developed by PEC Safety, the leader in safety training for the oil and gas industry.PEC H2S End User ID CardUpon successful completion of PEC H2S End User course, the student will be issued a PEC ID card that displays their photo, name, company name, and scannable barcode on the front and training documentation on the back. Also, all training will be entered into PEC Safety’s training database.PECCard.comIn addition, PEC Safety has a completely free tool called PECCard.com (www.peccard.com) that allows employees, employers, customers and noncustomers to view and verify employee completion of PEC H2S End User. In our efforts to help better the industry, all parties, including non-customers, are offered this service as long as they have a smart phone or computer with internet capability.(PECCard.com is compatible with iPhone, Android, Blackberry, PC, and MAC.)Topics Covered in PEC H2S End User (4-hour)
